The Story of a Woman who lost the man she loves

After the unresolved homicide of her boyfriend, a heart-broken woman returns to her hometown to get the answers that she deserves. Will she find the answers she needs or will they find her first?

How would you react if someone was taken from you. Someone who's so special and irreplaceable; someone who made you feel whole, but since they've been gone you're nothing, but broken pieces. What lengths would you go to get EVEN, if that someone was the love of your life? 

EVEN is a short film about a young woman's other half whose legacy now amounts to an unsolved homicide. After two years of no answers, Villy is back in her hometown with revenge on her mind. When she finally puts two and two together, no one is safe. A little town called Edenton will never be the same, but that comes with new management.

Our Story

My vision all started when I binge watched "Person of Interest" like two years ago. I was like I love this and it loves me, so let me get to writing.

Although, it's not a feel good story, or a race film, and it does not have rainbows or unicorns, it will have you on the edge of your seat like a good movie should. There's violence, drugs, and betrayal just like a medium-well John Wick movie, minus the stunts and fight scenes (because you've seen what the budget is looking like). With all things considered, I'm sure many will connect on an emotional level with the characters.

While the story is completely fictional, the town is all real. If "I'm just putting on for my city" was a person, it would be me! Being a film school graduate and growing up in this rural area gave me the idea about merging both worlds together. What makes this project so special is that it gives everyday people the opportunity to be a part of something great and it may even shine light on some hidden talents. All cast members are either born and/ or raised in Edenton, NC.
